본문내용

급하자면 바울은 오직 자신의 사도권이 사람에게로부터 온 것이 아니라 하나님께로부터 왔으며 부활한 주를 만남 체험 하나로 이방선교에 평생을 바쳤다. 바울은 그것만이 자신의 사명인 것으로 알고 그 길만을 갔다. 바울은 자신의 사도직에 대한 비난과 도전에 직면하여 역설적이지만 자신의 심정에 대한 일단을 이렇게 표현하고 있다.
"우리가 사방으로 우겨쌈을 당하여도 싸이지 아니하며 답답한
일을 당하여도 낙심하지 아니하며 핍박을 받아도 버린 바 되
지 아니하며 거꾸러뜨림을 당하여도 망하지 아니하고" (고후 4: 8-9)
