THE PRICE OF FREEDOM
In 2013, I recall sitting down in an empty apartment. There was nothing. no bed, no chairs, no clothes.
Lying on the floor and looking at the square walls, I thought: “I thought I would be happy when I find freedom… I risked my life traveling to South Korea in search of freedom. But when I returned home, I found an empty room, with no one to greet me.” I began to feel a wave of solitude and loneliness from the fact I had no one share all this emotion. But at the time, I didn’t have time to feel sad about all this loneliness and solitude. I had to sweep the dusty floor and create a space where I could breathe and sleep. So my new life in South Korea began in an empty apartment where I had no one and nothing. As I woke up in the morning after spending my first night on the floor, I began to feel all this pressure. I had to pay off my debt of seven thousand dollars to my broker, and for that, I needed to find a job. And the first job I found on-line was at the Paris Baguette.
