Title: Contradiction of Multiculturalism in Korea.

One day I went to ‘Myeong-dong’ with my friend. Soon after, I was confused whether I was in Korea. Nowadays, we can see foreigners very easily in our daily lives. Due to the improvement of transportation methods and Information Technology, foreign cultures are not that unusual to us. However, there is still a huge gap between cultures. Even though people in Korea emphasize harmonization of multi cultures, people tend to neglect East Asian and Islamic cultures, but do overestimate and blindly follow western culture. I also totally agree that proper convergence and harmonization of different cultures are necessary but I dare to say that is nearly impossible. It may eliminate one’s own culture which means killing originality and cause lots of severe conflicts. Moreover, we should consider ‘Reverse discrimination’ as well. Now, I want to mention about Contradiction of Multiculturalism in Korea.
