New criticism의 문제점
현대 대중문화를 부정적으로 보고 과거 복귀적이다. organic unity안에 과거 지향적인 생각이 들어있다. 언어 역시 역사적 산물이다(언어는 사회적 도구, 매개체), 모든 문학, 사회적 현상은 언제나 정치적 상황에 매여있다.
